Sherri Lynn Swanson

Sherri Lynn Swanson, 51, died Wed., April 6, 2022, at home in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Swanson was born April 13, 1970, in Carmi, Illinois to John R. and Peggy L. Sutton.  She grew up and was educated in Norris City, Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  She then went on to receive a degree in Radiation Therapy Technology from Washington University in Saint Louis.

She married Robert G. Swanson on November 16, 1996, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Town & Country, Missouri.  She worked as a radiation therapist for several years.  She then maintained the family home when her two children, Jacob Gordon and Laura Elizabeth were born in 1999 and 2001.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Webster Groves.  She enjoyed traveling the world, especially to her home in Scotland for the past twenty years. Book Club was cherished time with dear friends. But most of all her family was her focus and utmost joy.

Survived by her husband, Robert Swanson of Saint Louis, two children, Jacob Swanson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Laura Swanson of Saint Louis; her parents, John and Peggy Sutton of Norris City, Illinois and brother and his wife, Craig and Crystal Sutton of Hudson, Ohio.

Funeral will be held Friday, April 15, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation preceding the service from 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 1 Selma Ave., at Lockwood in Webster Groves, Missouri, Pastor Meagan McLaughlin officiating.  Pallbearers will be Andy Blatt, Tom Brannan, Brian Butler, Rob Connors, Chris Cook and Trevor Person. Below is a link to a copy of the church bulletin for her service: A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Plainview General Baptist Church. A brief service will be held at 1:00pm with burial immediately following in Plainview Cemetery.
