Larry Charles Egbert

Larry Charles Egbert (AKA Charles Larry Egbert) a resident of Kingsport, Tennessee formerly of Carmi, Il passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 20, 2022. He had attained the age of 72 years and 4 months.

Larry was born on 14 September 1949 at Carmi, IL, the son of Wallace (Tom) and Sarah (McDaniel) Egbert and nine siblings. He was a self-employed automotive mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and trucks. Larry is veteran of the United States Army and served 2 years in Germany where he was a gas and diesel automotive mechanic. While in Germany he was assigned to the Detachment C, 37 Transportation Battalion, USAR-EUROPE. He also reserved for 4 years in the Army Reserve.

Left to mourn his passing is Jennifer Egbert, April Baughman, Rebekah Schreader, Christina Jacoby, Charles Larry Egbert II, dear siblings William (Bill) and Anna Egbert, Betty Beets, Wallace (Wally) and Maryann Egbert, Delbert and Glena Kelley, Van and Carol Naylor, Michael (Spud) and Kim Egbert, , nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents (Wallace and Sarah Egbert), three brothers {Robert (Bob), Leslie (Doc), and Eddie (Gene)}, niece (Tammy Egbert) grandparents, uncles, and aunts.

Larry was cremated and memorial services will be held sometime in April 2022. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St Louis, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Jennifer June Egbert, 816 Lebanon Ave, Belleville, Il 62221 for cremation expense.
