CWCHS Grabs the Home Conference Win against Eldorado

The Lady Bulldogs off a three set conference loss Tuesday night against the Hamilton County Lady Foxes
comes out strong on their home court, as they cruise to an easy win against the Lady Eagles. Carmi
White County takes both sets at 25-16 and 25-8.

Set one starts slow as it goes point for point between the Lady Eagles and Lady Bulldogs, but a kill from
Jessica Smith and the Lady Bulldogs take the 10-9 lead and never looks back. Mariah Van Matre ends set
one with 7 kills, Smith 4 kills and 2 blocks and Sydney Lucas contributes 2 kills.

The second set belonged to Coach Penny Gunter’s Lady Bulldogs the entire way. Once again, Van Matre
was the firepower on the court with 5 kills, Lucas and Marley Mallow 3 kills and Smith 1 kill and 1 block.
CWCHS takes a short break, then travels to the Mule Barn next Thursday night to battle Chet Snyder’s
Lady Mules who are undefeated at 7-0 in the Black Diamond Conference.
